By training, I am a vascular surgeon. But by experience, I am also a patient with a chronic medical condition. As someone who has experienced the healthcare journey from both sides of the exam room, I have learned that understanding, deciding, and advocating for care is challenging & complicated - even when you're a doctor! In the end, my condition forced me to give up performing surgery, but after much reflection, I decided that perhaps my true calling is advocating for others.

Jean Demosthenes is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the medical industry. His diverse background includes roles in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry, showcasing a wide array of skills and expertise.
Throughout his career, Jean has been involved in various aspects of the medical field, including experience with medical device start-ups from inception to FDA approval. His knowledge spans territory management, strategic advisory positions, and medical practice business management.
Jean embarked on his academic journey at Illinois State University in Normal, IL, where he pursued his undergraduate degree while actively participating in football for the ISU Redbirds. He later went on to earn his MBA from the prestigious Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In addition to his professional endeavors, Jean serves as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach of the Lady Cobras at Parkland Community College in Champaign, IL.
